Nissan recently announced on its official website that it will begin the integration of its brand, marketing, and communication functions. The combinded functions will create a new organization to be further known as the Global Marketing Communications team. The company has decided to integrate these functions in order to refine and strenthen its global brands in markets worldwide. The leaders of these functions will come together beginning October 1, 2010, in the hopes that the Global Marketing Communications team will be fully operational by the start of the 2011 fiscal year. The alignement of these functions will help to increase the market strenth for the both the Nissan and Infiniti models.
